 Behind The Stone - The name was derived from the Gospel of Christ. As Christians, everything we believe and live for lies behind the stone. The tortured body of our Savior was laid to rest behind the stone and the everlasting spirit and love of our Lord was risen from behind the stone. Had Christ not risen, then for what do we believe in? Just a normal man like you and I? But the truth is He was sent down by a God who loves us so much that he gave his only son to die for our sins. He is alive and promises to return for all of those who believe. The new looks and sounds of BTS might not be familiar to those of you who have seen/heard the band in the past. The band has gone through many changes over the past year. Basically, God led the other members and I in separate directions. But, past shows and experiences will forever bind us in our friendships. I have always had a passion for writing. Lyrically, I love to get deep into emotion. I don't like to have everything spelled out in front for the listener. I want them to have to think a little bit as to what I’m writing. Musically, I like to write so if there were no lyrics, you could still tell what I'm trying to say--kind of like an instrumental soundtrack to a movie. Having no previous experience in composing my own music, I was a bit reluctant at first when God asked me to step out on my own. I had my doubts, but if its one thing I've learned over the years--you listen to God when He calls. Sure enough, He has revealed to me a talent I didn't know I had. The style of music I'm writing is a surprise. I grew up on rock and country and these first few compositions are not sounds I had in mind when I first sat down to write. But, I love what God has given me to work with and I'm grateful to be using it for Him.
Galatians 2:17-21 But if, in our effort to be justified in Christ, we ourselves have been found to be sinners, is Christ then a servant of sin? Certainly not! But if I build up again the very things that I once tore down, then I demonstrate that I am a transgressor. For through the law I died to the law, so that I might live to God. I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not nullify the grace of God; for if justification comes through the law, then Christ died for nothing.e light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
